Gluten Free Maple Bourbon Brownies

GLUTEN-FREE MAPLE BOURBON CAKE BROWNIES

Our Gluten-Free Maple Bourbon Cake Brownie recipe features our Bourbon Cream Liqueur. These brownies are so delicious, you won’t be able to eat just one.

Makes approximately 12 servings
Prep time:  15 minutes
Bake time:  25-30 minutes
Total time:  40-45 minutes

INGREDIENTS

Brownies

  • 1 16oz package gluten-free chocolate cake mix {Bob’s Red Mill makes a great one}
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup Brown Jug Bourbon Cream
  • 2/3 cup boiling water

Frosting

  • 1/2 cup grass-fed organic butter, softened
  • 2 cups organic powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Brown Jug Bourbon Cream

DIRECTIONS

1) Preheat oven to 350.  Grease a 9 X 13 inch pan with coconut oil or butter.

2) Pour cake mix in a large bowl.  Make a well in center and pour eggs, bourbon cream and oil in the well.  Stir until well-combined and then add boiling water; mix until just incorporated.

3) Pour batter in to pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

4) While brownies are baking prepare frosting by beating all ingredients together in a bowl until light and fluffy.

5) Once brownies are done move to wire rack and cool completely before frosting.
